West Coast
Park your beach house on the sand, roll out the awning and enjoy the view.
And what makes this holiday home on wheels extra nice is that if you do not like your neighboars, just move your holiday home to a better spot...
Makgadikgadi Pans
In the Makgadikgadi Pans you can experience absolute silence, fresh air and unforgettable stars, like Michael & Linti had in their Cheetah 6X.
This is one of Botswana's must visits. And then there are places like Khwai, Chobe, Moremi and up to Savuti. It will not be a terrible idea to book an annual Botswana trip - it will be good for the heart :)
Namibia landscapes
From the Richtersveld in the south, to Sossusvlei and Solitaire up to Spitskoppe. All along the gravel backroads along open landscapes stretching for hundreds of kilometers.
Dirk & Anita went everywhere with their Colorado 600.
Swartberg Pass
The Swartberg Pass is a very special place to experience. Start from Oudshoorn's side, over the mountain to Prince Albert. Next time, do it the other way around.
Along the route you will be able to see up to four levels of mountain pass below you and then there is the beautiful trees below alongside the river bed with the water flowing peacefully. Go!
Pannefees
Did you know you could travel to the Pannefees in the Makgadikgadi in premium class! That is what Edu & Alla did in their Cheetah 7X.
Another bonus is the automated hydraulic parking levelling, which certainly is good for marriage.
St. Alfred's Pass
80 Kilometers between Plettenbergbaai and Unionsdale.
This is where you keep your eyes on the cliffs and not your watch. Closer to Uniondale you will find a little coffee shop with great wortelkoek. Good for those nerves.
Don't forget - next time!
The sound of the waves
How about some time on the beach. Nothing like the sound of waves, birds and happy loved ones.
So many places - from the KZN North Coast & the south of Moz, the Wild Coast and all the way to the West Coast, from Melkbos to Namakwa and up to the Namib.
Hope to see you there...
Richtersveld
Perhaps you can join some of the Cheetah customers on their visits to the Namibian river beds on the lookout for the elephants, peace and quite.
Also think Richterveld, Namakwa and up to places like Sosusvlei, Solitaire and Spitzkoppe. So many places!
Take enough diesel, steaks, wine & dark chocolate.
White landscapes
Once every few years, when you hear the snow has fallen, grab your keys, warm clothing, enough coffee pods and go for it, as Willie & Kathy did in their Cheetah 6X.
Throw enough snow balls, take a few pics and when you start to "see" your breathing, you will be reminded of the diesel heater keeping your camper warm and cozy...
Where will you go?
Sometimes there are no roads - no problem. Even if you have to follow a riverbed to our favourite peaceful destination, like Willie & Kathy in their Cheetah 6X.
This is when you do not want to tow something. This is when you do not want to get out to get in. Just stop anywhere, turn your seat around and enjoy not having to setup any camp...
Kreeftebaai
Any camper must report at the Kreeftebaai parking lot between Big Bay and Melkbos, for a photo with the mother city in the background.
Then go for a late afternoon treat at Melkies on the Melkbos beachfront. Special times!
Kgalakgadi
In search of your cheetah friends...
Twee Rivieren, Mata Mata and then a few days at Nossob.
This is where time slows down and your heartrate gets within the speed limit.
Book a year in advance to get place :)
Fish River Canyon
One of Sven & Amanda's first trips in their Cheetah 7X Super Camper was to the Fish River Canyon.
Perhaps keep some space open in your camper for the two ruck sacks you are going to need when walking the 90km Fish River Canyon. Call it a reset or restart.
Short list it!
Nowhere is actually a destination
Make a fire in the Namibian desert in the late afternoon and see how the cliffs light up for an unforgettable evening.
Apart from the Oryx passing by you have to focus on a much smaller scale to see many other life forms surviving in the unforgiving desert.
A good story from Dirk in their Colorado 600
Stopover - somewhere far
In 20 minutes the coal will be just right for those steaks. In the meantime we will have to sit and stare at those flames and say nothing...
Willie & Cathy enjoying their Cheetah 6X en route to the Kgalakgadi.
Good to know you can
With a much as 420mm centre ground clearance, automatic all wheel drive and 1st and 2nd crawl gears, traversing over bad roads is sometimes a bit of a non-event. Just point and go.
Nico & Margerette crisscrossed Botswana in their Cheetah 6X camper with flying colours. Special times!
Happy campers
A special feeling having your rig behind you.
Sven & Amanda with their Cheetah 7X touring camper
Just saying...
"That looks like a seriously capable piece of kit you’ve got there...
Making new friends everywhere you go
Stop 'n bietjie...
Waterfront estate
Take your lounge to your favourite view!
Add the aircon and have that remote handy to lower the One-Touch roller blinds, just in case you you need more privacy.
The Cheetah 6X and Cheetah 7X comes with rear lounge floorplans.
Parking lot - holiday lot
Easy to drive and park, with serious on and off-grid systems to make touring such a pleasure.
En route!
Sometimes the route is part of the destination
The lure of the open road...
On the way to Prince Albert with the hum of the gravel road. It is part and parcel of the overlanding lifestyle.
With the convenience of those big fat tyres, tuned suspension and 180L diesel on the Cheetah 7X Super Camper, these backroads are there to enjoy.
Go there!
