With a smooth DGS transmission you can hit the highways and byways in comfort while the rear mechanical diff-lock makes for a surprisingly capable touring vehicle. X-Pack options include raised suspension, protection plates, snorkel, raised breathers and winch for peace of mind or you go for gold and opt for the full air suspension with self-levelling parking.


The advanced Lithium battery option with 3000W inverter enables selective use of your aircon, induction stove and electric geyser at times when you are off-grid. Basic interior conversion includes interior modules with daybed, bed, kitchen drawer, clothing drawers & fridge with access from inside (park and go to bed without having to get out of the vehicle) and functional inside kitchen. Excludes camp roof, rear camping kitchen, base vehicle, X-Pack and optional extras.

Very spacious interior with up to 2m standing headroom and options for rooftop aircon, sunroof, solar panels and side awnings. The 7200BTU rooftop aircon adds about 300mm to the height and is an alternative to the 9000BU under-bed aircon. Alternatively you can use two 12V vents in opposite directions to create good air flow.

Two front seats can swivel around in as a standard suggestion in vehicles supplied by Maxmo. Swivel seats are an option if the base vehicle is supplied by customer. Arizona can seat up to 5 persons as a multi purpose vehicle and sleeps two persons in camping mode. The three seats in the second row can be removed when on tour to enable use of the internal kitchen drawer, toilet, clothing drawers and fridge.

Inside kitchen
The inside kitchen can be accessed directly from the interior in situations where privacy, security, wild life or bad weather makes it preferable than having to climb out to get to the outside camping kitchen. The induction stove is preferable in terms of safety and can work when connected to shore power or if the inverter option has been selected.

The rear kitchen or "boskombuis" is accessed through the rear doors with direct access to kitchenware, groceries, fridge, storage etc. If the under bed aircon is not selected, an extra spacious drawer will be available for groceries & gear.

The optional external thermal blanket over the windscreen will assist a lot in extreme temperatures. The awnings are above the side camper windows, which make a huge difference in the ambient temperature inside the vehicle.

The standard electrical system with 1x 100A Lithium battery supply 12V for the lights, toilet, USB chargers and 12V fridge/s. 220V sockets, electric braai, electric geyser and rooftop aircon are only active when connected to shore power. For the use of 220 sockets, electric geyser and rooftop aircon while off-grid, an upgrade to 200A battery is suggested, with 3000W inverter system, selected in the next category.

For frequent off-grid use (when no shore power (220V) is available) you can upgrade to a 200A Lithium battery with 3000W inverter. This will enable the selective use of the induction stove, electric geyser, electric braai and/or rooftop aircon (within maximum consumption levels) while off-grid, depending on battery power and available re-charge cycles. The effectiveness and charging of the off-grid 12V-220V system is influenced by factors like combined 220V consumption, distance traveled per day for the DC-DC charger to function as well as the availability of sunlight and positioning of vehicle for the solar charger to work effectively.

The carrying capacity of the suspension and height is fine tuned according to spec per vehicle. The height of the vehicle with full suspension raise, over-seized tyres and Maxmo Space Roof might be higher than some domestic garage door openings of less than 2.1m. A caravan-spec garage door of 2.5m is suggested. Care should be taken in under-roof parking lots and the use of a height indicator pole is suggested for peace of mind.
